New Year, New Quintec!

Quintec Celebrates the New Year With a New Look

quin—Latin prefix for five

quint—Latin for fifth

Traditionally, the dawning of a new year compels people to look back at what they’ve done and where they’ve been, while also looking forward with a sense of hope and anticipation.

Today, Quintec does the same. Albeit, with a slight twist.

The conclusion of 2022 marks the culmination of a new branding effort and a new logo for Quintec.

We invite you to read further to learn more about it.

Back When People Wore Tunics…

In the effort to classify and understand the material world, ancient Greek, Tibetan, and Indian philosophers believed that the universe was composed of four elements—also known as essences:

Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.

However, they also believed that reality was not limited solely to what we can see, touch, or perceive. They hypothesized that something else—something greater we could not fully understand—must be included in the fabric of the cosmos.

In Greece, this fifth, mysterious essence was called aether, and since it was the fifth element, it would eventually be known as…

the quinta essentia.

Now, When People Wear Lululemon…

When Quintec started in 1999, the company name was unique; it held no prescribed meaning from another source.

*Granted, there’s an agricultural fungicide named Quintec, but trust us… that wasn’t the inspiration!*

James Deppoleto II imagined that an abbreviated use of the word “quintessential” might signal to potential customers the idea that his company was something greater, beyond, and special while also emphasizing the technical aspects of the services he would provide.

Today, as we look ahead to a vibrant future, we acknowledge our roots and our past—especially the importance of the number five and how its relevance to Quintec’s story remains just as vital as it ever did.

WHAT’S CHANGING?

1. Our new logo

New Quintec Integration logo (As of Jan. 1st, 2023)

The most observable change is the company logo, reimagined by keeping certain aspects of the original with an eye toward new opportunities and services.

More than 20 years after the original gear-shaped Q made its appearance on business cards and a website, Quintec continues its expansion and impact on the material handling industry.

While our new logo still features that traditional Q, redolent of machinery and engineering, Quintec has become so much more than an equipment supplier and installer.

What we really create and sell are solutions!

Stated simply, Quintec performs a distinctive service: we solve how to move our client’s product(s) from Point A to Point Z in the most efficient way possible.

Our new logo seeks to visually emphasize the concept of “progress” in its design from the distinct shape of the letter C’s alignment with the forward-tilting production line to the robotic arm in the shape of the letter N to the five packages dropping from the center of the Q and traversing along the underscored conveyor belt.

Note that our new logo and slogan are not a dramatic erasure of Quintec’s past iconography.

Rather, we hope the redesign communicates that Quintec is a material handling solution provider without limits—one that can satisfy every stage of any project from the proverbial “cradle to the grave.”

2. Our new slogan

It’s easy to see that Quintec is no longer operating out of a home office.

However, what might be less obvious to the casual observer is that Quintec also no longer deals only in conveyor systems and with the parcel industry.

Today, Quintec serves myriad different industries within the scope of the material handling and supply chain enterprise including but not limited to:

  1. Parcel

  2. Food and Beverage

  3. Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals

  4. E-commerce

  5. Manufacturing and Distribution

The material handling market is vast and wide-ranging, and it’s become increasingly complicated and diverse since Quintec opened for business.

Along the way, Quintec has remained peerless in its ability to meet the needs of each one of them.

We’re excited that the new calendar year will open new revenue streams and opportunities in previously untapped markets, and our slogan is designed to convey that message: Quintec provides solutions for any material handling problem that exists in any industry.

WHAT’S NOT CHANGING?

Change can make people nervous. We tend to like consistency and familiarity. We enjoy knowing who we’re working with and what we’re getting out of the relationship.

Rest assured that these visible changes will not affect those “invisible” aspects of Quintec that have made us the best material handling solution provider in North America.

We guarantee our approach to service and our personalized attention remains the same even as we grow in our capabilities and partnerships.

Our Five Core Values

Successful businesses are tended to like a garden: shaped, manicured, and carefully watered by leadership. Moreover, as a business grows, it benefits from a shared language which gives meaning to the work we do.

No company meets ambitious goals haphazardly, and what will never change about Quintec are the tenets upon which it was founded.

James Deppoleto II has stressed the same fundamental values to every employee, customer, and partner from the moment he dreamt of Quintec until the moment this sentence was written.

Another exciting aspect of the updated logo design is how it affords Quintec an opportunity to openly affirm our five guiding principles as demonstrated by five boxes.

At Quintec, we…

1. Focus on the “Why” to Improve the “What”

Other companies provide similar services and products, which is WHAT Quintec can do.

However, they cannot provide the same level of expertise, access, professionalism, and focused attention to each project that Quintec can, which is WHY Quintec is the best choice.

Quintec will never lose sight of the “why.” It’s what elevates and separates us from everyone else, and it remains our top priority.

2. Value People Over Product

From our first installation in 1999 to now, Quintec has cherished each partnership. Designing material handling systems is secondary to building quality relationships.

We believe a business is only as great as the people it employs and serves, which is why our retention rate in each category is so high, and it’s why we make this value a point of emphasis in every personal encounter or exchange.

3. Map All Streams

Quintec is so much more than an equipment provider. We provide, first and foremost, solutions, strategies, and value to the entire supply chain operation by carefully analyzing each stage of the production ecosystem and designing more efficient methods.

Yes…we can sell you a chute or install an RAS for you, but our true talent lies in eliminating barriers, waste, and/or disharmony to both processes and product with special focus on increasing all of our customers’ revenue streams.

4. Pursue Perfection

Quintec remains committed to continual growth, learning, and improvement.

We embrace the theory that “Good enough…isn’t.”

We strive for perfection in our performance and our processes because we know that type of effort and intention leads to excellence.

5. Embrace Change and New Challenges

Quintec takes pride in the agility, flexibility, and knowledge we’ve developed in 20+ years of experience in the field.

Our strong partnerships and unrivaled access to a wide variety of vendors and manufacturers as well as automation experts, designers, and engineers guarantees our customers the best solutions without limitations.

As we enter 2023, we not only share our new logo and slogan with you, but we also invite you to contact us to learn more about the many different ways we can serve your material handling needs regardless of how big or small your next challenge might be.
